It was a drizzly but pleasant Friday morning as STGC administrators, teachers, Old Boys and friends of the College huddled under the cover of the tent to officially open the renovated front entrance.
MC Neville Bell was his usual relaxed self, making the guest comfortable as the program went smoothly and quickly.
Main contributor to the renovation, Old Boy Mr. Phillip Wong was presented with a plaque of appreciation. This was followed by the commemorative cutting of the cake.
There were musical presentation from the STGC Choir and band.
As soon as the rain held up, the group took the opportunity to have the gate blessed by the Archbishop Kenneth Richards then officially opened.
It is quite a nice looking entrance/ car park and a befitting look for the 168 year old institution which has contributed much to the development of Jamaica.
