STGCOBA Annual Brunch

A New President!
A New Day!
The Brunch was amazing!

There are some events that happen in life that are so memorable they continue to linger in our minds forever. On Sunday May 28th, 2017, the St. George’s College Old Boys’ Association held their annual brunch, and it was spectacular. The camaraderie and warmth between the members were evident. It was an atmosphere of high feelings.

Andre GregoryOur new president Andre Gregory kicked off the brunch on time and in style, his presence was as exuberant as it gets. With confidence and poise he led us from beginning to end.

The food decked with fine Jamaican cuisine was mouth watering and satisfying, simply delicious!

Our guest speaker Dr. Ho Ping Kong spoke with great humour and wit. He entertained and educated us with his experience and knowledge. It was great to hear him speak about how St. George’s College built values in him, and the principles he learned after.

It is always pleasing to see dedication and devotion rewarded. The Robbie Vernon award was given this year to Patrick Garel, long standing member who has served us in significant ways.

With pride, I can also write to you to say that the Old Boys’ Association in Ontario is making a difference in the lives of others. Our scholarship recipient this year was Shana Flynn who received a scholarship of fifteen hundred Canadian Dollars towards her education. Shana is the granddaughter of John Flynn, one of our members.

The brunch was indeed an afternoon of excellence, filled with fun, surprises and prizes from our grab bags and raffle.

I am proud to be a part of the Old Boys’ Association in Ontario and I am sure you are too. Let us continue to come out and support the institution that we not only grew up in but that also shaped us to be the men we are today.
